Eunice Query Library Science Scholarship: (One or more scholarships)
- This is a scholarship awarded to a fully accepted library science student (beginning or continuing)
- School and/ or public library track
- To be used to assist a candidate to begin or continue academic endeavor
- Candidate must show promise in the profession and qualify on the basis of aptitude and need. The latter must be verifiable by the Financial Aid Office of the university.
- Scholarship can be renewed each year based upon verification of satisfactory academic standing.
- Required GPA of 3.25
- If a beginning library science student, then a GPA of the most recent completed program (undergraduate or masters)
- If a continuing student, then a GPA of the previous semester or semesters
- Full-time student status required
- Normally scholarships will be awarded in the fall and spring for the following academic year. The awardees must maintain fulltime status for the entire year following the award or for one semester if the student will be graduating in December.
- In the event that a scholarship goes unawarded and competition is reopened for the following semester, full-time status need only be maintained for the remaining semester of that academic year. Students who do not take 9 semester hours each semester of the award will be expected to forfeit the scholarship.
Sallie H. Taylor Memorial Library Science Scholarship: (One or more scholarships)
- Awarded only to a fully accepted library science student
- This is a scholarship awarded on the promise of outstanding ability and success in the profession of school librarianship
- Available to full or part-time students
- One-half of this scholarship will be disbursed each semester.
- Stipend must be used for tuition, books, materials, and supplies for the course of study.
- Amount varies.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 must have been achieved for the previous program of study, undergraduate or graduate if applicant is a beginning student.
- Continuing students will use the GPA of 3.5 from their previous semesters of library science graduate study.
Louise Moore Plybon Library Science Scholarship: (One scholarship)
- This is a scholarship awarded to a student who shows promise of outstanding ability in the profession of librarianship.
- Available to full or part-time students
- Stipend must be used for tuition, books, materials, and supplies for the course of study.
- One-half of this scholarship will be disbursed each semester.
- Priority will be given to students (beginning or continuing) who intend to take a School Library Concentration, or a double concentration in School and Public Libraries.
- Students in the Public Library Concentration may qualify in the event there are no qualified applicants in the other concentration or double major.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 must have been achieved for degree, undergraduate or graduate, if applicant is a beginning student.
- Continuing students will use the GPA of 3.5 from their previous semesters of library science graduate study.
Vera Bolick Melton Memorial Library Science Scholarship (NEW): (One scholarship)
- Awarded only to a fully accepted library science student
- Candidate must show financial need verifiable by the Financial Aid Office of the university.
- This is a scholarship awarded on the promise of outstanding ability and success in the profession of school or public librarianship
- Available to full or part-time students
- Stipend must be used for tuition, books, materials, and supplies for the course of study.
- Entire scholarship will be disbursed in fall semester.
- Amount varies.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 must have been achieved for the previous program of study, undergraduate or graduate if applicant is a beginning student.
- Continuing students will use the GPA of 3.5 from their previous semesters of library science graduate study.
Note: Past scholarship recipients will continue to receive that scholarship for the duration of their enrollment as long as the minimum academic requirements are met. These students should submit a letter of intent to the scholarship committee indicating their desire to continue the scholarship.

scholarships. ASU's MLS program awards three scholarships each year and there are multiple opportunities for our students to apply for scholarship from outside agencies throughout the year.
